From Ron Paul WIKI

[edit] Respecting On-line Communities
- Please do not over-promote Dr. Paul on social networking sites. Massive amounts of Digg articles, for example, alienate some Diggers, and can even motivate them to become an enemy. Do not digg articles you have not read, and by all means, read and digg other articles that have nothing to do with Ron Paul (ie use Digg for what Digg is.) Do not post duplicates, make sure the article you are submitting is not already submitted. If you want an example of Digg blowback, just look here.
- Please do not participate in on-line communities in general if you do not have an interest other than Ron Paul. People know when someone is around just to push their own agenda, and this is a detrement.
- Please do not "spam" addresses with the same message. If you want to ask someone to support Dr. Paul, ask them in your own words. Do not copy/paste messages, as it's considered to be spam.
[edit] Media Blackouts
At times, we'll encounter a post or article where Dr. Paul's name isn't mentioned. Give them the benefit of the doubt, take the moral high ground, send them a friendly email, give them a friendly phone call, and encourage others to do the same.
[edit] Polls
- Participating in polls is great, however, please do not badger smaller blogs and sites to add Paul to the list. It can potentially motivate people to go from neutral on Dr. Paul to completely against him.
- Be respectful - vote once per cycle. It's possible to vote multiple times, but if sites take note, they will make it known and it detracts from Paul's actual support.
- Ignore polls that treat Paul poorly. The more you fight with these people, the more energized they become.
[edit] Detractors
There is no presidential candidate who is not hated by some people, and the more people who find out about Paul, the more detractors there will be. Paul is no exception. Detractors, especially the ones on MySpace, troll for an outcry from Paul supporters so they have comments to laugh at. Please don't react to these people, or waste your time reading comments. Your time can be better spent elsewhere.
